Why the need – Chemicals

Large numbers of new chemicals are developed each year for use in consumer products. Many of these chemicals are not tested for effects on human or environmental health, yet are used in a manner that causes direct exposure to people where they live, work and eat.  The ability to test chemicals in a biologically relevant fashion, whether those chemicals are inhaled, ingested, or applied topically would vastly improve consumer product safety and increase consumer safety confidence of new products.
